Get your kids’ toy clutter under control with these super adorable and functional playroom storage bins for under $25!
Hello friends!! I don’t know about you, but toy clutter is a sure fire way to get this mama frazzled and bit overwhelmed. Can I get an Amen?!
Our two boys are ridiculously spoiled blessed. They have a huge toy collection-books, toys, games, puzzles, legos, remote control cars, you name it-these boys have it! I am very thankful that the boys are able to have some really cool and fun stuff to play with, but finding a place for all of their toys can feel like a daunting task!
There are three problems that I always seem to run into when trying to keep the toy clutter in check…
- Where to store all of the toys?
- How to organize the toys in a functional and stylish way? and
- How to keep the toys organized while still being easily accessible to the boys.
You too?! Then read on, sister!
Our Playroom Reveal
Last week I shared our updated playroom reveal. If you missed it, you can check it out {HERE}! The playroom looks awesome and I can finally say that I solved our playroom blues! Hooray! I got 99 problems, but toy clutter ain’t one! (Ha! A little ode to my man, Jay Z!)
The boys’ playroom got a massive overhaul and a decor update. They are loving their new playroom space, and I can’t help but love it too with all of the pretty new organization.
A major component that allows the new playroom to function so well is the smart organizational systems that are now in place. I made sure to utilize different storage bins and containers to hold all of the many different types of toys that the boys have.
Since I’ve been successful with organizing our playroom clutter using this system, I’d thought I round up my favorite storage resources for you to try out!
This round-up is a handful of super functional organizational baskets that I think would look absolutely adorable in any playroom or kid space. You’ll love that all of these are priced at under $25 and are available from Amazon!
Girl, with Amazon’s two-day shipping you could add these to your cart and have your playroom organized by this weekend! High fives!

Small Toy Solutions
Here are my top recommendations for wrangling up small toys such as cars, action figures, animals, blocks, dolls, barbie accessories, etc. In our playroom, I like to separate toys into categories and store them in their own designated bin. The use of labels helps to keep everything in the correct bin when it’s time for cleanup. I used these chalkboard labels from Amazon.
Stuffed Animal Storage
If your kids are anything like mine, they have way too many stuffed animals that they refuse to give up. I keep it simple here and throw them all in a cute hamper type container. Any of these would work while still looking super cute in a play area. Done!
Dress up Clothes and Imaginary Play
My boys have a random collection of superhero costumes, masks, hats, and helmets. My boys use a toy chest to keep these type of items in place. If you’re looking for a quality but inexpensive toy chest, I highly recommend this one. But keeping to the theme of storage under $25, here are my suggestions for organizing these toys.
Art Supplies
An art caddy or bucket is a simple and fun way to store art supplies. This galvanized bucket keeps art supplies organized but easily accessible. It’s also great that it’s very portable. You could keep art supplies out of reach if needed, but quickly grab this art caddy when its time to get crafty.
Book Organization
These mesh wire baskets are another cute way to store books, activity playsets, or puzzles. I love how they have a place to add a label. You could type up some easy and simple labels in Microsoft Word or Canva and stick them right down in the label holder slot! If your kids know how to read, now there’s no excuse for them to not know where things go during clean up time! ?
Fun and Whimsy
Play areas should feel lighthearted and fun! You can add a fun element to your kid space with some whimsy storage bins. Think texture and bright colors here. Below are a few that I found that would be both fun and functional in a playroom. That aqua seagrass basket-be still my heart!
